Everyone I’ve spoken with this week has expressed delight and amazement over the coincidence of fall temperatures occurring on the first day of fall!  I don’t remember a single year prior to this one when that happened!  Do you?

I’ve been dragging my feet for a while about decorating for fall.  It was just too hot and steamy outside, and I was sure that any pumpkins on the front porch would surely bake before I was ready for pie!

This year, I’m hosting a couple of small get-togethers and planning on using my wedding china, which has a ring of royal blue around the edges.  To tie my fall décor to the china, I purchased a few blue pumpkins from Hobby Lobby.  Don’t get me wrong; I still love orange!

Anyway, I’m no professional (obviously), but I thought I’d share the feeling of fall we’re experiencing here in my Mississippi home. I hope you’ll enjoy it and then step outside and experience it!

Welcome to fall!
My mother-in-law collected pulleys. This one is my favorite!
The iron urn is probably one of my favorite things to decorate. Everything–live plants, faux pumpkins, and faux flowers–looks great in it.
The paintings behind the sofa are on stands that I bought from Decor Steals. They are studies of larger paintings, and they are for sale! Just FYI!

Beautiful photos. You are talented with the visual things. Are these from a camera or phone?
