Violets are blue,
I know a book lover,
How about you?
Do you have a book lover in your life? Do you want to give that person a unique Valentine’s gift this year?
Many of you know that my daughter Liz is raising money to go on an AYC (American Youth Corp) missions’ trip to Washington, D.C., this summer.
Thanks to friends and family, she had some good success in selling book art right before Christmas, and now she’s hoping to raise a little more money with roses made from old books.
The roses are $3 each or you can buy 5 and get one free!
She also has a couple of folded geometric books that are all the rage in décor these days. Just look at the ones dangling in front of Jackson, Mississippi’s most highly prized book store Lemuria!
If you say, “You’re a little late for Valentine’s Day,” remember that it’s not THE day that matters most (according to my husband), but it is special expression of your love, which should happen on any and every day!
So, whether you choose a book rose, some live tulips (eh hem), car detailing, or a fabulous dinner out, be sure to let your special loved one know how much you love and appreciate them on Valentine’s Day (that’s Monday, guys). I imagine the book rose would the least expensive option I’ve listed….
Oh, and Liz still has a number of Pomodoro balls ($10 each) and ornaments, which are just a smaller version of the Pomodoro balls ($5 each), available.
Send me a note if you’d like one or some of Liz’s book roses or any other book art item! Happy Valentine’s Day!
