I’ve had a long-time fascination with photography. I used to beg for a camera as a small child, and I took some fairly amazing photographs (two, I think) on a family vacation to Colorado in 5th grade using a camera that looked a little like a child’s first chapter book!
Since then, I’ve progressed through several Canon Rebels and now enjoy using a Canon Eos 80D as well as my iPhone7.
I’m convinced that I’m the best photographer for my kids, who typically give a professional a tight, froggy looking smirk. I use inside jokes and cajoling to get what I think are more natural expressions, and I’ve enjoyed seeing those expressions pass through a random screensaver slideshow each time I leave the Big (i)Mac alone for 2 minutes.
I’ll do my best to share not only my boys’ senior pictures, but also the resources I’ve used to help me along. I’m an amateur for sure, so maybe we can learn together!
I may also include digital scrapbooking info and resources here. For many years, I’ve taken the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day to make a yearbook for the family. I promise, it’s the only way I can remember what’s happened during a year! And I used to have an incredible memory… before kids, that is!
